Artist Statement
For me drawing is always a learning experience. I enjoy thoroughly investigating my subject and telling stories with my art. I pay attention to details and use fine technique using colored pencils, pen and ink and watercolor. I do realistic as well as fantasy works.
Artist Biography
Natalya Zuber was born in Russia. She taught herself primarily by observing and developed her skills through practice.
While studying at the Technical Institute of Forestry, her scientific illustrations were used by the department and published in a book.
Her skillful drawings of dances as well as numerous portraits were displayed at different exhibitions, and her illustrations of people in traditional costumes of the early 19th century were published in a magazine.
After graduation she worked at the Historical Architectural and Nature museum-reserve as a biological researcher.
Later in Moscow, Natalya taught kids and adults drawing with pencils and pen and ink.
Moving to the United States, gave her opportunities to develop artistic skills. She studied at the Denver Art Institute.
Her pictures were displayed at Denver Botanical Garden's exhibitions and printed in their publications. Her pictures are in private collections in Colorado and Europe. One can also see Natalya's works at the Surface Creek Gallery in Orchard City.
